Order

Ask for groceries

Say what you need the way you’d say it at home. Pantry understands everyday English and Hinglish, by voice or text.

Voice or text

Both work the same way. For a voice note, Pantry first shows what it heard, so you can catch a mishearing:

🎙️ 0:04 🎙️ Heard: “ek doodh, dhania aur aloo”

Several items in one message are fine, separated however you like: “milk, bread and eggs”, “doodh aur bread”.

How many

Say a number before the item, in English or Hindi: “2 milk”, “do anda” (two eggs), “teen kela” (three bananas). No number means one.

A count means packs of the product you usually get: “2 milk” is two of your usual milk packs.

Amounts and sizes

Ask for an amount and Pantry works out the packs: “2 litre milk”, “aadha kilo paneer”, “500 g dahi”. It buys the cheapest mix of your usual product’s sizes on sale that makes up the amount.

More than usual

If you ask for far more than you usually buy Pantry asks before adding it, since a big number is more often misheard than meant:

❓ egg ×20? You usually get ×2.Yes, ×20×2Skip

Before your first order of something, a large amount gets the same question: “That’s a lot for a first order.” Pantry never buys more than 12 packs of one size in an order.

Other things you can say

The same message can change the basket, order right away, or send this order elsewhere:
